Kate began riding at the age of four at the Paddock in Rochester, MN where she was born and raised. By age 16 she began riding with Laura Kraut in Oconomowoc, WI and commuted four hours one way to ride each week. As an amateur she won every major high amateur owner classic at every major event: Palm Beach, Madison Square Garden, Spruce Meadows, Cincinnati, Ocala, Chicago, Detroit, Lake Placid and more.

With her latest mount, On Line, Kate has placed consistently on the Grand Prix circuit in Ocala, St. Louis and Chicago. This young and up coming stallion is one to watch for in the future. The past two years Kate has been training with Frank Gombolay. Frank has trained several of the best riders in the world and has helped Kate gain a solid foundation for what it takes to be great. His strong background in dressage and fine tuned fitness program has helped to develop Kate’s philosophy for riding and training. Because of her many years of experience breaking her father’s horses, she has the understanding, strength, timing, and ability to work with all different levels of horse.
