Kate began riding at the age of four at the Paddock
in Rochester, MN where she was born and raised. By
age 16 she began riding with Laura Kraut in Oconomowoc,
WI and commuted four hours one way to ride each week.
As an amateur she won every major high amateur owner
classic at every major event: Palm Beach, Madison
Square Garden, Spruce Meadows, Cincinnati, Ocala,
Chicago, Detroit, Lake Placid and more.
With her Grand Prix Stallion, OnLine,
Kate won 7 Grand Prix in 2008 and 2 in 2009 with top
placings in many others around the country. This well
established GP stallion is a force to be reconded
with in the show ring. For several years after working
with Laura Kraut, Kate trained with Frank Gombolay.
Frank has trained several of the best riders in the
world and has helped Kate gain a solid foundation
for what it takes to be great. His strong background
in dressage and fine tuned fitness program has helped
to develop Kate’s philosophy for riding and
training. Because of her many years of experience
breaking her father’s horses, she has the understanding,
strength, timing, and ability to work with all different
levels of horse. |
